Garmin Support Center is where you will find answers to frequently asked questions and resources to help with all of your Garmin products. We had previously recommended the Garmin fenix 6 series of watches as our upgrade hiking watch pick because of the long battery life, color screen, mapping, and ability to customize data fields, watch faces, and widgets. The fenix 6 is still great—if you own a 6 series watch, you don’t need to upgrade immediately.

Keep one eye on the altimeter. its still creepy after many many years and its garmin masters cannot regulate its behaviour. watch out for irregular behaviour like when its starting to cheat on you. You can fall off the cliff after calibration. after calibration. Please garmin sort this. 60mtrs drop it was present in my old fenix 6 solar on

Garmin Fenix 2 Review. navigation search. The Garmin Fenix 2 combines the best features of the Garmin 910XT and Garmin 620, plus some extras and it could be a great running watch if it were not for the GPS Accuracy problems. While Garmin have improved the accuracy of the Fenix 2 with firmware upgrades, its accuracy remains mediocre at best.
RE: Fenix 5 - Altimeter/Barometer Major Issues There was a post on another forum that claims that previous way-points are used as part of the activity start elevation fix if available. For the Fenix 3, this was proved not to be the case.
You got a serious issue with your altimeter. Do you got the same kind of behavior with your barometer ? (If yes it could be an hardware problem and you are under warranty, if not it could be a widget problem hence the resetting) Have you try the last beta 3.55 ? Yes, the barometer has problems too!
I've installed another one, did an GPS altimeter calibration again, it worked fine even after a restart, but only for a couple of hours. Now, again, the altimeter doesn't show anything. I did 2 soft resets, pushing the Light button until the watch stoped but still the same problems with the altimeter but now the watch face works just fine.
